After not actively looking, but most definitely ‘keeping an eye out’ for a suitable property to grow our business, we decided to have a closer look at a premise we in fact pass every day. On first glance knew there would be some work to do, but the space suited. On discovering the original Victorian moulded tin tile wall coverings and ebonised oak floorboards, we then knew it was ‘meant to be’. With the help of friends and family, the shop has re-opened in its truest form, and is eminently suitable for a shop selling all manner of eclectic items.
The photos below give you some idea of the extent of this real ‘labour of love’, where Steve spent many a dark 6am morning risking frost bitten fingers, scraping 6 layers of external wood paintwork from door frame and windows with the help of his trusty head torch and heat gun!
